What is faith? It is trust or confidence in a person or thing. Some people place their faith in their banker, their doctor, their family, their friends or their job. When we place confidence in a person, we depend upon the honesty of that person. Some people are worthy of the confidence we place in them. Others fail us.

However, the faith that we want to study about is that faith which is written in Ephesians 4:5. One Lord, one faith, one baptism.

We want to study four different aspects of faith:

1. Faith is believing that the Scriptures contained in the Bible are true and accurate. (Fill in the blanks)

2 Timothy 3:16. All Scripture is given by _________________ of _________ and is profitable for ___________, for ___________, for _______________, for _________________________.

2. Faith is accepting the truth of the Scriptures into our hearts as well as our minds. It means accepting the plan of salvation which was given to us by Jesus Christ which he made possible through His death on the cross and His resurrection from the grave.

Luke 7:50. And He said unto the woman, Thy ____________ hath ____________ thee; go in peace.

Ephesians 2:8. For by _______ are ye ____________ through __________; and not of yourselves: it is the ________________________.

3. Faith is the doctrines and teachings of the gospel, or faith in Jesus Christ and His teachings.

Jude 3b. It was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the ____________ which was once delivered unto the __________.

Who are the saints? 1 Corinthians 14:33. For God is not the author of confusion, but of ______________, as in all the ________________________________. Saints are people who live holy.

4. Faith above everything else means that we are convinced above any doubt that God is faithful and true.

Titus 1:2. In hope of eternal life, which ________, Who cannot ______, promised ________      ____________________.

2 Thessalonians 3:3. But the Lord is _____________, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
